The West Michigan Airport Authority (WMAA) is pleased to announce the addition of Scott Corbin to the Operations Committee. Appointed by the Holland City Council he currently serves as the Director of Emergency Management and Homeland Security for Allegan County and also as the Michigan Emergency Management Association (MEMA) president. Corbin brings experience in plan development, resource allocation, policy development, budgeting, strategic and board development, community outreach and contract negotiations.
Prior to his current roles, Corbin was a law enforcement officer for over 23 years and served in the United States Army Reserve for eight years as an engineer and demolitions expert. Currently he serves on the Southwest Area Red Cross board of directors and the Regional Homeland Security board
Corbin earned an associate’s degree in Law Enforcement from Owens Technical College, and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Organizational Management from Bluffton University. He is married with two children. One is a senior at Hope College and the other a graduate of Michigan State University and resident of Park Township.
When asked about his new role with the WMAA, Corbin said he is very excited about serving on the board and supporting the board’s mission and its continued success into the future.
