All of West Michigan is invited to the 2017 Holland CareAffaire benefiting Wings of Mercy. The event will be held at the West Michigan Regional Airport, 60 Geurink Blvd. on Saturday, August 26 from 8:00 am to Noon. This year’s event will include:
4th Annual Runway 5K Run
For registration go to www.wingsofmercy.com. The cost is $30 and includes a sweat wicking run t-shirt and a pancake breakfast.
EAA Young Eagles First Flight Experience
Free flights will be provided for children ages 8 to 17 by EAA pilots. A parent or guardian must be present to sign the registration form. For more information visit their website at EAA Young Eagles Program.
Airplane and Helicopter Rides
Provided by Wings of Mercy pilots and commercial pilots, these rides require an additional donation and are intended for adults and children under 8 accompanied by an adult.
Pancake Breakfast Prepared by the Holland Lions
Tickets for the breakfast are $6 or $25 for a family of up to 6 people.
Free Make and Take Models
Make and Take Models are provided for kids by the West Michigan International Plastic Model Society.
All proceeds will benefit Wings of Mercy, a faith based, non-profit, volunteer pilot organization dedicated to helping people in need have access to life-saving
healthcare by arranging free flights to distant medical facilities. Not only does this event raise much needed funds, it also helps get the word out about the services Wings of Mercy provides so they can better serve our West Michigan community.
