On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, the Michigan Aeronautics Commission held its meeting in the Airport Business Center at West Michigan Regional Airport. The Commission is responsible for general oversight of all aeronautics throughout Michigan and at this meeting approved 49 improvement projects at airports across the state.
Also at this meeting, Commission Chairperson David VanderVeen and Commission Director Mike Trout presented Airport Authority Manager Greg Robinson and Airport Manager Terry Boer with a Special Airport Recognition award. The award honored the West Michigan Airport Authority for its leadership and commitment to the growth and development of global economic activity for this region. The award further commended the Airport Authority for coordination of outstanding local efforts to enhance the mobility of people and goods throughout West Michigan and beyond.
