June 2012 – A recent inspection of the pavement located in the south hangar area and leading to the runway showed that the pavement was in very poor condition. The project to repave the area and widen the connector taxiway by 15 feet to improve aircraft access has been completed. A grant from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) in the amount of $677,000 will cover 98% of the project cost with the Authority paying $16,925.
