4 One Air Flight School

Early in 2023, we welcomed a new flight school to West Michigan Regional Airport. 4 One Air is owned and operated by Rick Thompson, long-time friend of the airport and employee of fixed base operators at WMRA. Thompson has held varying roles, including customer service, line management and flight instruction. He has been a flight instructor for over 14 years.

Thompson created 4 One Air to bring aviation education to West Michigan and give more people the opportunity to train as a pilot. This program gives students one-on-one instruction both in the air and the classroom. The goal is to produce confident, well-trained pilots with a passion for aviation.

Students of 4 One Air have the ability to earn their private pilot’s license, commercial pilot license, certified flight instructor license, several instrument ratings, and more. With the increased demand for pilots over the past few years, Thompson’s flight school is more crucial than ever. We’re proud to have his expertise teaching the next generation of pilots at West Michigan Regional Airport.
