Flight Path Hosting Airport Board Member Flight Night

Board Member Flight Night

Flight Path, the K-12 aviation education organization stationed at West Michigan Regional Airport is hosting a Flight Night for airport board members. The free program is typically held a few times a month and serves as an introduction to aviation for middle and high school students.

Flight Path is planning to hold their board member event in a similar manner to give the WMRA community a better idea of how the Flight Nights program works and the asset Flight Path brings to the airport.

About Flight Path’s Flight Nights

Flight Path is a nonprofit youth aviation education program that recently moved their operation to WMRA. The move allows Flight Path to host their main program, Flight Nights, at an airport with a flight school, plane rentals, and everything else they needed to help generate interest in aviation.

Flight Nights are a free educational opportunity for middle and high school students to explore various fields within aviation. Flight Path and WMRA coordinate to have plane mechanics, flight schedulers, corporate pilots and other aviation specialists onsite to talk to the students and answer their questions.

“Our goal is to introduce kids to aviation and all aspects of it. Whether it be flying or being an aircraft mechanic or being in flight scheduling or any other number of things that involve aviation.”
