The airport recently welcomed Courtney Sawyer as our new Community Engagement Specialist and Operations. In this position, she will be responsible for community outreach on behalf of the airport. She’ll be planning and managing some of our most exciting events, including our Aviation Day celebration and the Tulip Time Fly-In, among others.
Prior to joining the airport, Courtney worked at Executive Jet Management where she scheduled training events for the crew. She also has experience doing community outreach for Grosse Ile Municipal Airport.
Courtney studied Aviation Management and Geography at Western Michigan University. She’s currently pursuing her private pilot’s license and is looking forward to her final cross-country flight.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys listening to Taylor Swift, playing pickleball and learning to golf.
