Flight Path Hosted I Am Academy for Flight Night at WMRA

I Am Academy Flight Night With Flight Path

I Am Academy Flight Night

WMRA and educational partner, Flight Path, welcomed students from I Am Academy earlier this month for Flight Night! Dedicated to empowering African American adolescents to achieve their full potential, I Am Academy supports students by providing additional learning and life experiences. The organization aims to change the narrative and trajectory of the African American community through mentorships and community partnerships.

I Am Academy Flight Night With Flight Path

I Am Academy students joined Flight Path on site for an introduction to aviation that included VR flights on the Redbird simulator, cockpit tours of real planes, and presentations from aviation professionals on the history of the industry.

Flight Path is a K-12 aviation education organization based right here at WMRA. Their Flight Nights are free programs for middle school and high school students. Flight Path holds their educational Flight Nights several times a month. Educators can find out more on the Flight Path website or on our Educators page.
